Autumnal Pairings

The following flower pairings elaborate on personal prejudice, drawing promiscuously on florists’ wisdom, anything that might shed light on why certain flowers work well together, history & culture.
The first of many additions to attempt to create a blog that will in the future turn into a FLOWER THESAURUS if I manage to create enough daring combinations within this very delicate world of blooms with such a short life when cut.
Moving to the first edition though this is mostly meant to serve as a reminder of colour mixing rather than any real design : a medley of buttery yellow zinnias, soft pink dahlias *(according to the Japanese language of flowers, it means good taste) and the clean green and funky texture of the love in a puff vine twirled around the outside.
